A contact page of your own on the "Ears" website will cost £100 per annum. On this page you can list your qualifications, and any contact details that you want to enable members of the public to get in touch with you with a view to making an appointment. Are there any possible reductions on this price? Yes, for the first year we are offering a 50% introductory discount. In other words, you only need to pay £50. Anything else? Yes. Our "year" will run from October 1st to September 30th. Anyone who pays for a listing in May, June, July, August or September 2007 will not be billed for another year, ie. until September 2008, so you get as many a 17 months for your first "year"! Why are you offering this discount? With any website it takes time to build up "traffic" (the number of visitors). Therefore, it will take time for the website to become fully effective in bringing business to everyone listed. So it is only fair that we start off at a reduced rate. What do I get for my money? Your contact details are made available to the public so that anyone with ear problems can contact you for an appointment. What information should I put on my page? You need to list everything to help people work out whether you operate in an area that is convenient for them. And then everything that they need to get in contact with you... Is there anything that I shouldn't put on the contact page? You need to be a little bit cautious about revealing too much personal detail, just as you are cautious with any other form of advertising to the general public. So how much can I put on my page? We will put on there anything reasonable that you think is relevant. As a guideline, we don't think people would be interested to read more than one side of A4 of text. You are free to list all your other qualifications and therapies - but remember, the whole point is to get people to book an appointment to see you! And visitors to the site are mostly concerned about their ears... Can I include pictures? No. If you want anything more complicated than text, you will need to negotiate for a proper paid website. (See below) How do I get the text to you? It needs to be sent to us by email. You need to write it as either text in an email message, or send a text document as an email attachment. Can I make changes to my contact page? Yes. During each year of your membership we will be happy to make a reasonable number of changes to the text of your contact page. So any changes to your name, address, phone number or email address we will make free of charge. i have my own website. Can I include a link (a "hyperlink") to my own website? Yes. However, if we do this for you we will expect that you return the compliment by inserting a link on your website back to the "Ears" website. Normally we would ask you to go ahead and organise a contact page with us, then when you have demonstrated that your own website includes a link to the Ears website we will set up a link to you... How many contacts am I guaranteed each year? We can't guarantee anything. However, we are committed to working to get as many visitors as possible to visit the website. What we can offer you is a snapshot from the statistics page of our website that will show how many people have visited your contact page. We would certainly expect to demonstrate to you a significant number of visitors before asking you to pay for another year's membership. How do I make any profit from having a listing on the website? Well, if you think about how much you charge for a consultation you realise that you don't need many extra appointments in order to pay for your £100 membership. In fact, just one new client who visits you 3 or 4 times should pay for your listing. We are optimistic that we can attract enough visitors to the website that everyone will get more than enough new business to be enthusiastic about renewing their membership! What information should I put onto my contact page? What if I want more than just a standard contact page? We would be delighted to design a more personal website for you.
